Available Sponsorship Amount: $10,000Southern California Piano Conservatory Foundation awards Merit Scholarships based on the student’s artistic, academic, leadership, pedagogy, and volunteerism accomplishments.
In addition, we choose four top graduating music students each year at four different high schools in the San Fernando Valley. Deserving students are presented with a scholarship award by a foundation representative at Calabasas High School, El Camino High, Canoga Park High, and Granada Hills High School.
To nominate a scholarship candidate, a music instructor (at school and/or private instructor) must address the applicant’s ability to attain his/her goals in the field of music and give a brief summary of musical commitment.
The applicant should embody and demonstrate qualities of high personal character including honesty, integrity and work ethic.
The applicant should be recognized as a leader in the promotion of music in the school and community.
The applicant should demonstrate the ability to perform proficiently at his/her appropriate level of expertise.
The Southern California Piano Conservatory Foundation’s scholarship committee will review recommendations. The committee will select each scholarship recipient on an objective and non-discriminatory basis.
