AP Music Theory

Sponsored by Janet and Joel Smith

Sponsorship Amount $1,000

Advanced Placement Music Theory is a 2-year college-level music theory class for high school students that provides an opportunity to gain the skills and experience colleges recognize. Students who pass the AP examination earn credit for a college level music theory course.

The SCPC Foundation is filling the void in public school education by providing Music Theory Classes. For the past 10 years, we’ve sponsored a 2-year AP Music Program with a nearly 100% pass rate. We’ve expanded our curriculum to include middle school, high school, and college-aged students. Any interested students should contact Tina Caplan Weiss at (818) 399-8737 or email us at admin@scpcfoundation.org.
